Itineray of this Tour

Your 6-day journey begins in Fes, where we’ll pick you up from your hotel/riad for an enjoyable guided tour in an air-conditioned vehicle with a local bilingual guide.

Our Fes tour will include visits to the Andalusia Mosque, built at the end of the 9th century, and the Tanners’ Quarters, where leather products are crafted using only natural colors. We’ll explore the Al-Attarine Madrasa, built in 1325, and the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world.

Additionally, we’ll visit the Zaouia Moulay Idriss, open to non-Muslims, the Nejjarine Museum, the Royal Palace, and the famous Bab Boujloud Gate. Our tour will conclude with visits to other key monuments before returning to your hotel/riad in Fes for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we’ll leave Fes and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas. Our first stop will be Ifrane, a charming town built in the 1930s by the French, often referred to as “Little Switzerland.”

Next, we’ll visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary Apes. You’ll have the chance to observe and take pictures of these playful monkeys.

Continuing our journey, we’ll pass through beautiful Berber villages and natural landscapes before arriving in Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. We’ll check into a traditional hotel or riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we’ll leave Midelt and cross the Ziz Valley, known for its lush palm groves and breathtaking views. We’ll stop for panoramic photos along the way before reaching Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll have time to relax before experiencing an incredible camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You’ll witness a magical sunset over the desert before arriving at our comfortable desert camp.

In the evening, we’ll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, followed by a music session around a campfire under the starry desert sky. Overnight stay in a nomadic-style tent.

Today, we’ll explore the surrounding areas of Merzouga. Our first stop is Khamlia Village, where you’ll experience the unique rhythms of Gnawa music, performed by locals of African descent.

We’ll then visit an old deserted mine and a Berber nomad family to learn about their traditional way of life. Afterward, we’ll return to Merzouga for lunch and some relaxation.

In the late afternoon, we’ll embark on another camel ride to experience the mesmerizing sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes. The evening will be spent in a well-equipped desert camp with a traditional Berber dinner, music, and stargazing.

After an early wake-up to witness the Sahara sunrise, we’ll ride camels back to the hotel for breakfast and a refreshing shower.

We’ll then head towards Rissani, the historical center of the old Sijilmassa Kingdom, known for its vibrant traditional market. Next, we’ll drive through the breathtaking Ziz Valley and the impressive Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sites.

Continuing our journey, we’ll pass through the Dades Valley, stopping for panoramic views before reaching Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Here, we’ll visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah and have dinner and an overnight stay at a riad or traditional kasbah.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the world-famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood movies.

We’ll then head towards the stunning Fint Oasis, a hidden paradise near Ouarzazate.

Our journey continues across the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the scenic Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. We’ll make stops for breathtaking views before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of our unforgettable adventure.
